Accuracy of results

We build every converter carefully, using exact SI and NIST definitions wherever they exist, and we fix reported errors quickly. Even so, results are displayed rounded, some units have regional or historical variants, and any software can contain mistakes.

Conversions and articles on this site are provided for general information. Before relying on a value for anything important, such as medical dosing, engineering, construction, legal, financial or safety-critical work, please verify it against the official standard or a qualified professional in your field.

ZapUnits is a reference tool, not a certification, and does not provide medical, legal or professional advice.

Using the site

• The converters are free to use for personal, educational and commercial purposes.
• Please do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at a volume that affects other visitors, or access accounts that are not yours.
• Linking to any page, including a permalink to a specific conversion, is welcome.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password private. You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend accounts that are used to abuse the service.

The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, any result or content on this site.

Advertising and links

The site may display advertising and link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of those sites or for products advertised on them.
